SmartestEnergy launches Traceable Renewable Supply

SmartestEnergy has launched Traceable Renewable Supply, setting a new benchmark for transparency and leadership in the clean energy sector. Developed in collaboration with us at Granular Energy, this cutting-edge product delivers a half-hourly matching of renewable energy consumption, empowering businesses to lead the charge towards a carbon-free future. 

The launch of this product follows a successful trial enabled by Granular Energy’s tracking and matching technologies. Across the financial year 23-24, 162 GWh were matched with half-hourly renewable energy generation, and through the trial we were able to increase a customer’s carbon-free energy score by 23%. 

This innovative solution enables businesses to track their renewable energy usage on a half-hourly basis, providing unmatched visibility and control over their energy mix. As companies push for net zero, SmartestEnergy is equipping them with the tools to stay ahead of industry standards, comply with the latest regulations, and set new benchmarks for carbon-free energy leadership. Driven by their own net zero commitments, the University of Reading and real estate player JLL have already trialled the product.
